
About Simon
Simon is a trial lawyer specializing in criminal defense. He started his career as a prosecutor at the storied Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and honed his skills at Multnomah County D.A.’s and Oregon Division of Financial Regulation. As an Assistant Attorney General in Oregon Department of Justice, Simon protected consumers facing financial fraud and argued cases in appellate courts.
As a professor of trial advocacy at Lewis and Clark Law School, Simon teaches future prosecutors and defense lawyers how to be exemplary advocates and exceptional storytellers who connect with judges and juries. He also teaches at Oregon State Bar’s Trial Advocacy College and has presented at a multitude of professional education courses in Oregon and nationally.
Simon’s years as a public defender fostered his passion for helping people through difficult situations. He advocates for clients facing charges of DUII, drug and property crimes, sex abuse and domestic violence, assaults and attempted murders, Ballot Measure 11 and Jessica’s Law cases. He understands clients’ concerns and needs, guiding them through a confusing and scary process. Simon is driven by justice, passionate in fighting for people and providing the highest level of legal representation.
